Earline Keller Dowdy, age 75, of Clinton, formerly of Bardwell, passed away on Sunday, July 18, 2021 at her residence.
Earline was born in Bardwell on May 28, 1946 to the late Frank and Dorothy Steinbeck Keller. She was of the Baptist faith. Earline was a very strong and special person. She was always there for her children and grandchildren to lend a word of advice or to comfort them in a time of need. Earline was the most loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. In her free time, she loved to relax by doing her favorite things, shopping and playing Bingo.
Earline is survived by her husband of 21 years, Charles Wayne “Butch” Dowdy of Clinton; two daughters, Debra Sullenger Bess (Willie Joe) of Bonifay, Florida and Glenda Bobo of Bardwell; five sons, Willis Dean Sullenger (Vicky) of Fulgham, Freddie Wayne Sullenger (Carla) of Wickliffe, Thomas William Sullenger (Bonnie) of West Paducah, Billy Dale Sullenger (Leann) of Bardwell and Donald Ray “Mooky” Dowdy (Georgina) of Clinton; one special daughter, Darrenda Brooks (Jonathan) of Cunningham; 22 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services for Earline will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Bardwell with Bro. Glen Stewart officiating. Burial will follow at Old Bardwell Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM until the service time of 2:00 PM on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at the funeral home.
