Mr. Arch W. “Bud” Rogers, III, 78 of Murray, KY died on Sunday, October 18, 2020, at Lake Way Nursing & Rehabilitation in Benton, KY. He was a retired semi driver who came from a long line of truckers. He loved his job, enjoyed working outside, gardening and fishing. He loved his kids and grandkids, Dairy Queen trips with his granddaughter, Cayce, and his dogs, Brandy and Bubba.
Born Sunday, May 3, 1942 in Eaton Rapids, MI, he was the son of the late Arch W. Rogers Jr. and the late Maxine (McGilvra) Miller.
Surviving are his wife, Judy Kay (Pattenaude) Rogers; son, Arch “Chris” Rogers IV, wife Lola of Battle Creek, MI; daughters, Angie Haehnel, husband David of Buchanan, TN, and Shari Slusser, husband Brian of Eaton Rapids, MI; brothers, Harvey Rogers and Raymond “Chip” Rogers both of MI; sister, Judy Swartz of MI; grandchildren, Arch Rogers V, Danielle Machungo, Trisha Erway, husband Cody, Michael Cray, wife Angela Jo, Cayce Jae Mathis, husband Lee, and great-grandchildren, Arch”Will” Rogers VI, Annah and Leah Machungo, Bennett Erway, Milo and Delilah Crox, and Brayden and Jaxon Mathis.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Darlene Sue Brown.
A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, October 25, 2020 between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th Street, Benton, KY 42025.
