Extended Closure on KY 2208 in Hickman County starting Monday Oct 5

PADUCAH, KY (Oct. 1, 2020) A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans an extended closure of KY 2208 in central Hickman County starting Monday, October 5, 2020.

This extended closure of KY 2208 at mile point 0.25 is to allow the Cane Creek Culvert to be replaced with a pre-fabricated aluminum arch culvert. This 2-week closure of KY 2208 is about 1/4th mile north of the KY 58 intersection near the Croley Community.

There will be no marked detour. However, motorists may self-detour at the North end of KY 2208 via KY 1708 and KY 575.

Construction of a pre-fab aluminum culvert for this site is less expensive than a traditional concrete culvert. The pre-fab structure speeds up the construction process to reduce the length of the closure from months to weeks.

The target completion date is October 16, 2020.
