Max Manning, 80

Mr. Max Edward Manning, age 80, of Clarksville, Tennessee, formerly of the Lynn Grove Community in Murray, Kentucky, died on Thursday, August 13, 2020, at Dogwood Bend Assisted Living in Clarksville, Tennessee.

Mr. Manning was born in Calloway County, Kentucky, on March 20, 1940. Mr. Manning retired from Trimac in Calvert City, Kentucky, and was a member of the Coldwater Baptist Church.

Mr. Manning was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie Manning and Odell (Cooper) Manning Kemp; and by one sister, Emma Lee Bazzell.

He is survived by his wife, Glinda Manning of Clarksville, Tennessee, whom he married on May 1, 1998; one daughter, Connie Smith of Sunrise Beach, Missouri; two step-daughters, Wendy Lipscomb and husband Owen of Nashville, Tennessee and Christi Richardson and husband Dave of Powder Springs, Georgia; one brother, Bobby Manning and wife Faye of Murray, Kentucky; sister-in-law, Deanna Gholson of Clarksville, Tennessee; brother-in-law, Roger Cooper and wife Mary Janice of Owensboro, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Jacob C. Smith and Grant Smith both of Sunrise Beach, Missouri; as well as four step-grandchildren, Owen Lipscomb, Jr. and wife Trivette of Atlanta, Georgia, Warren Lipscomb of Nashville, Tennessee, Nate Richardson and Wade Richardson both of Powder Springs, Georgia.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, August 16, 2020, at 3:00 p.m. at the Salem Cemetery. Dr. Larry Salmon will officiate, and burial will follow.

Visitation will be held prior to the graveside service on Sunday, August 16, 2020, from 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
