Herbert “Herb” Wayne Handley, 93, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away at his residence at 7:25 am on Saturday, May 9, 2020.
Herb retired after 43 years of service at Martin Marietta as a Maintenance Supervisor, and Herb served his country in the U. S. Navy. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and had served as cordinator of the ushers at Immanuel Baptist Church for several years until Octocber of 2019. Herb was very involved in baseball during high school years and loved the St. Louis Cardinals.
Herb was a very loving and devoted husband to his surviving wife, Mary Rogers Handley of 73 years.
Herb was proceeded in death by his beautiful daughter, who was the “apple of his eye”, Buff W. Handley; his parents Herbert Wayne Handley and Jessie Heanetta Thomas Handley.
A private graveside service will take place at Maplelawn Park Cemertery with with Rev. Jamie Broome officiating.
