CFS Lady Eagles finish 15-13, setting program record

Christian Fellowship’s Lady Eagles wrapped up the regular season Friday with a 15-13 record, the most wins in program history under third-year Head Coach Trevor Jackson. Two seniors played their final game for CFS, but the future looks extremely bright for the young team to break many more records with leading scorers Gracie Howard (8th grade), Lillian Burnett (freshman) and Jayden Jackson (freshman) along with two more freshman in Allysa Warren and Renee Shields all returning for the Lady Eagles.

The Lady Eagles went 2-1 in their final three regular season games, picking up two wins on Feb. 15, 61-39 over Beth Haven and Feb. 18, 49-18 over Agape Christian and fell to Fulton City on Friday, 59-52.

In their Feb. 15 win over Beth Haven, Burnett led the Lady Eagles with 23 points, going 9/14 from the floor and 5/7 at the free throw line. Also in double figures, Jayden Jackson had 13 points and Renee Shields with 11.

Howard led the Lady Eagles in their 49-18 win over Agape Christian with 16 points going 7/8 from the floor and 2/2 at the free throw line. Jackson had nine points along with Burnett, who also pulled in 11 rebounds.

The Lady Eagles fell by seven points to Fulton City in their final regular season game. Burnett led with 17 points on 8/17 along with 12 rebounds. Howard followed right behind with 16 points. Fulton City was led by Kyisha Everett with 16 points and Jada Martin with 13.
