Traffic Signal Work at US 60/Friedman Lane Intersection in Paducah on Tuesday, April 2nd

A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans traffic signal work at the US 60/Hinkleville Road intersection with Friedman Lane in PADUCAH on Tuesday, April 2, 2019.

Traffic signal upgrades at this US 60/Friedman Lane intersection will be require the intersection to function at a 4-Way Stop much of the day on Tuesday.  Work is expected to start around 7:00 a.m., CDT, and continue through the day.

Motorists should be alert for slowing and stopped traffic at this intersection while 4-Way Stop signs are in place, particularly during peak travel periods.  Some delays are possible, and some lane restrictions may be required as the signal crew goes about their work on Tuesday.

This intersection is along US 60/Hinkleville Road at McCracken County milepoint 11.09 handles more than 12,000 vehicles in an average day.  The intersection is about ½ mile east of the I-24/US 60 Paducah Exit 4 Interchange.

This traffic signal upgrade is among a number of safety improvements that are part of a Highway Safety Improvement Project (HSIP) along highways in Paducah.

Motorists should use appropriate caution where equipment, flaggers, and construction personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
