Westbound Work Zone Lane Restriction on I-24 at 28mm on Wednesday, August 29th

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to restrict Interstate 24 westbound traffic to one lane at the 28 mile marker on Wednesday morning, August 29, 2018.

This westbound lane restriction for I-24 at the 28 mile marker is to allow Kentucky State Police to complete a reconstruction investigation at the site of an August 24th crash. This westbound work zone lane restriction is expected to be in place from approximately 8:00 a.m., CDT, to about 1:00 p.m., on Wednesday.

Westbound motorists on I-24 should be prepared to encounter slowing and merging traffic as they approach the I-24 Tennessee River Bridge.

The work zone configuration at this site may change from time to time during the day to facilitate survey and documentation activities that are part of the investigation process.

Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and police personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
