McCracken County Sheriff’s deputies are searching for a man gone missing after a wreck on the Brookport Bridge.
According to McCracken County Sheriff’s Department, about midnight Thursday, Oct. 19, a couple returning to Kentucky from Illinois crashed on the bridge. No other cars were involved in the crash.
Police found a woman involved in the crash walking on the bridge; another occupant in the wrecked vehicle was not found, however.
Two witnesses to the incident reported hearing a loud splash in the river shortly after the crash.
Rescue and response agencies searched the Ohio River and surrounding area for the occupant, identified as Jessie Inman, 41, of Paducah. He had not been located as of Saturday night.
Inman was last seen wearing a black shirt, jeans and boots. He is 6-feet-2 and weighs about 180 pounds.
