Mrs. Hilda Mae Howard, age 87 of Benton, KY passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2018, at the Lake Way Nursing & Rehabilitation in Benton, KY. She was a member of Hamlet Baptist Church in Benton, KY. She also worked at the Ashby Chair Factory, IGA of Benton, KY, Hutchen’s Restaurant, and was a park attendant at the National Park System.
Born Monday, September 28, 1931, she was the daughter of the late James Robert Lassiter and the late Anna (Lorena) Hendrickson.
Surviving is her son, Dr. Chris Thomas Howard, wife Marritta of Gilbertsville, KY, brother, Chalon L. Lassiter of Benton, KY, sister, Janice Ann Morris of Marion, IL, grandchildren; Jeremy Howard, Jessica Shell, Joseph Howard, Adeena Parks, Ariea Hathcock, Kimberly Howard, Angela Snyder, Sheena Moore and Amber Howard. Also
surviving are 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her late husband Thomas Lincoln Howard, son Mark Howard, daughter Diana Lynn Cummings, brother Wayne Lassiter.
A Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, November 24, 2018 in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home. Harry B. Morton will officiate.
Interment is to follow the service in the Marshall County Memorial Gardens Benton, KY.
Friends may visit with the family between the hours of 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Collier Funeral Home located at 211 W. 5th. St. Benton, KY.
