Both the boy’s and girl’s swim teams placed second and in combined scoring, the Marshall County Swim Team placed second Tuesday at Madisonville with 151 points, behind first place Madisonville North Hopkins with 214. Logan County took third with 89 points, fourth went to Hopkins County Central with 44 points and Russellville fifth with 23 points.
Clara Bradley broke her 50 freestyle record twice in the same week, breaking her record set on Saturday of 26.87, setting a new record time of 26.85. Fourteen personal best times were set as the team continues to improve with every meet.
Bradley took first in both the 50 and 100 freestyle and another first came from Sofia Bayer in the 100 backstroke. Four second place finishes came from Coleton Jones in the 100 butterfly, Jacob Rushing in the 500 freestyle, Maidie Siress in the 100 individual medley and Cameron Armstrong in the 200 freestyle.
The team will complete Saturday in the Murray Invitational at the MSU Wellness Center pool.
