Kentucky State Police have made an arrest in connection to an incident in which an inmate walked away from work detail Thursday morning in Marshall County.

According to KSP, troopers arrested Tammy C. Lamb, 44, of Murray about 3:30 p.m. Thursday after police located a 1998 Chevy SUV seen on surveillance footage allegedly picking up escaped inmate Jeremy Meadows after he left the scene. The vehicle was found at a residence on Ledbetter Road in Calloway County. Lamb, who was also at the residence, was arrested on suspicion of second-degree escape and taken to the Marshall County Detention Center.

The Calloway County Sheriff’s Department assisted on scene.

Police were still searching for Meadows, 27, of Water Valley as of Thursday evening. The investigation remains ongoing.

Meadows is described as a white man, weighing about 140 pounds and standing about 6 feet tall. He has several tattoos, including facial tattoos. Police say Meadows should be considered dangerous and not approached. Anyone with information as to his whereabouts should contact KSP at 270-856-3721 or 800-222-5555.
