Library To Host Ghostology Program

ghostology (2)BENTON, KY – Do ghosts exist? According to a 2013 Harris Poll, nearly half (42%) of Americans believe they do.

“People are fascinated by the idea of ghosts and hauntings,” says Lenisa Jones, Branch Manager for the Marshall County Public Library @Benton. “Our books on life after death are really popular, especially this time of year. Some people check them out because they already believe or have had some sort of encounter, and others are merely curious.”

Due to the interest in supernatural phenomenon in our area, the Marshall County Public Library is hosting a Ghostology 101 program on Thursday, October 20, at their @Benton branch at 6pm. The program will be led by Gavin Kelly, host and lead investigator for Amazon Prime’s new series Paranormal Journey: Into the Unknown. Kelly will be bringing various instruments used for paranormal investigating and answering questions about what he has uncovered. Another local paranormal investigation group, the Jackson Purchase Paranormal Investigators, will also be on hand to speak about their experiences.

Ghostology 101 is a free library event and is open to all ages. For more information about the program and other library events, visit www.marshallcolibrary.org.
