BENTON – Former Marshall County High School head football coach and teacher, 47 year old Ron Barnard, pleaded guilty today to seven charges related to having inappropriate contact with a minor and sexting with an underage student.
Barnard agreed to a plea deal to serve seven years in prison and will be formally sentenced on November 5th. He will be placed on the sex offender registry for 20 years.
Barnard was arrested on June 4, 2014 following a lengthy investigation by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department.
