DRAFFENVILLE – With the loss of the American Legion baseball program in Marshall County the past two summers, the Marshall County High School baseball staff filled the void this summer with the formation of a Babe Ruth League, fielding three teams made up of 13-15 year olds.

Marshals Head Coach Mike Johnson, assistants Shane Darnall, Chad Sutton along with Dennis Foust coach the three squads who play home games at Mike Miller Park and the high school. Also a part of the Babe Ruth League are teams from Carlisle County, Lyon County, Hickman County and Dawson Springs.

They are scheduled to play around 20 regular season games plus tournaments, playing games on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.
Thursday at Mike Miller Park, the Iron Pigs of Marshall County were taking on Dawson Springs while the Boston Butts were also playing at home at the high school.
