Legislative Committee to Review Mask Mandates at Special Called Meeting

Frankfort, Kentucky (August 13, 2021) – Members of the Kentucky General Assembly’s Administrative Regulation Review Subcommittee will review and hear testimony from stakeholders regarding emergency regulations issued by the Kentucky Board of Education and the Department for Public Health that require children over the age of two to wear a mask or other face-covering in K-12 public schools and regulated child care facilities. The emergency regulations, 702 KAR 1.195E and 902 KAR 2:213E, could mandate face-coverings for up to 270 days, essentially through May of 2022.

The Subcommittee will meet at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, August 17 in the State Capital Annex.
