
(PADUCAH, Ky.) — A McCracken County woman is behind bars following a month-long drug investigation that ended with her arrest Monday morning, the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office announced.
Lana M. Ford, 49, of Carolina Street, was taken into custody March 2 after detectives received information in February that she had been selling methamphetamine in McCracken County. As part of the investigation, detectives conducted a controlled purchase of methamphetamine from Ford before seeking an arrest warrant.
Members of the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, located Ford at a residence on Needmore Road and arrested her without incident.
Detectives found approximately 17.6 grams of methamphetamine inside Ford’s purse at the time of her arrest.
Ford was booked into the McCracken County Regional Jail and faces multiple charges, including trafficking in methamphetamine (2nd or subsequent offense), possession of marijuana, possession of a hallucinogen, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Additional charges are expected in Marshall County.
The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office thanked the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office for its assistance in the investigation.
