
With a team score of 306, the Lady Marshals won the Shelby County Lady Rocket Invitational held at Weissinger Hills Golf Course on Friday. Trinity Beth’s round of 69 (-3) earned the incoming seventh grader medalist honors. Following Beth, scoring came from Elsie Riley who shot a 2-over 74, Savannah Howell shot 81 and Katie Roberts 82.
Saturday at Lexington’s Kearney Hills Golf Course in the Paul Lexington Dunbar Lady Bulldogs Classic, the Lady Marshals first tee time was 1:30 and they were teamed up with Sacred Heart Academy, Lexington Christian Academy and Madison Central.
The Lady Marshals shot a season low 299 to finish second in the Lady Bulldogs Classic, just four strokes back of Lexington Christian Academy. They were led by Savannah Howell who fired a 2-under 71 to finish second and Megan Hertter’s 1-under 72 to finish third. Katie Roberts had a round of 76 (+3) followed by Elsie Riley with 80 (+7). Individual Medalist was Christy Ann Carter (70) from Lexington Christian Academy.
They will tee it up on Monday at Bowling Green Country Club in the Lady Gator Invitational.
