(PADUCAH, Ky.) – April 22, 2026 – Jackson Purchase Energy Cooperative (JPEC) is notifying members of a planned power outage affecting the Draffenvile and Palma Substations in Marshall County, KY.
This outage is scheduled to begin at 10:00 pm on Sunday, May 3, 2026, and is expected to conclude no later than 4:00 am on Monday, May 4, 2026.
This will allow Big Rivers Electric Corporation (BREC) to perform necessary maintenance on a tie switch that connects multiple substations. Approximately 800 members will be affected during this time. JPEC appreciates our members’ patience and understanding as we work with BREC to enhance the reliability and performance of our electric system.
