Sheriff’s Department arrests Hardin man

sheriffOn Wednesday March 9th Deputy Steven Oakley observed a subject driving a vehicle on Main St. in Benton who was confirmed to have a suspended license. The subject then made an abrupt turn onto 9th St. Deputy Oakley observed the vehicle in a driveway with the passenger sitting beside the vehicle. The driver had taken off running and was caught by Captain Jeromy Hicks from Benton Police Department.

The subject had marijuana inside his wallet and a marijuana roach inside the vehicle ash tray. Curtis R. Curry 25, of Hardin, was arrested and charged with Fleeing or Evading Police 1st Degree, Operating on a Suspended or Revoked License, Failure to Notify Address Change to Department of Transportation, Possessing License when Privileges Revoked, Failure to Surrender Revoked Operators License, Failure to Produce Insurance Card, Failure to or Improper Signal, Possess of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Marijuana. Curry also had two active warrants, one out of Graves County for Bail Jumping and the other out of Marshall County for a Probation Violation.
