
On April 27th, 2024, at approximately 1:18 P.M. deputies were dispatched to the intersection of North Friendship and New Holt Road for a two-vehicle collision with injuries.
Through investigation it was determined that Randle Petway, 74 years old of Calvert City was operating his 1928 Ford Model A west on New Holt Road. A witness stated that Randle Petway disregarded a traffic control device. This caused his vehicle to collide with a 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe traveling south on North Friendship Road being operated by Kelsea Ervin, 30 years old of Mayfield Kentucky. The Hyundai also had a passenger identified as Teresa Ervin; 58 years old of Mayfield Kentucky.
Randle Petway did not report any injuries. Both Kelsea and Teresa Ervin were transported by Mercy Regional EMS to Western Baptist hospital for treatment of non-incapacitating injuries.
The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Mercy Regional EMS, Concord Fire Department and Prestige Towing.
