On Friday January 29th Deputy Steven Oakley was dispatched to the Purchase Parkway in reference to a motor vehicle collision. Upon arrival the driver had left the scene and was already inside another vehicle attempting to leave. There were also two passengers in the vehicle that refused medical treatment. Deputy Oakley observed a strong smell of alcohol present on the subject. The subject admitted to drinking prior to driving. Dawson E. White 19, of Russellville, KY, was arrested and charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence Alcohol <21 YOA and Wanton Endangerment 2nd Degree.
For the week of January 25th through February 1st the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office responded to the following: 10 Prisoner Transports, 18 Traffic Accidents, 4 DUI’s, 13 Burglary/Theft reports, 2 Animal Complaints, 5 Disturbances, 20 Investigations, 3 Domestic Disturbances, 23 Warrants Served, 27 Civils attempted, 30 Extra Patrol Requests, 32 Have a Deputy Call and 13 Traffic Stops contributing to a call volume of 309 calls responded to.
