(BENTON, Ky.)-FNB Bank has donated $1,500 to Marshall County Schools as part of its Spirit Debit Card Program, with the funds stemming from customer purchases made during the first quarter of 2026.
The program turns everyday debit card swipes into contributions for local schools. Each time a customer makes a signature-based purchase — bypassing the PIN prompt — FNB donates 10 cents to the school linked to their card. The bank handles all tracking and delivers a quarterly check directly to the school, with no extra steps required from cardholders.
“Our customers have pride in knowing that they are making a difference in the lives of our youth by simply swiping their Spirit Debit Cards at the checkout,” said Brooke Wiles, FNB’s Chief Marketing Officer. She added that the donated funds give school systems the flexibility to do more for students and staff, calling it “an invaluable asset to our community.”
FNB currently offers Spirit Debit Cards supporting schools in Mayfield, Graves County, Trigg County, and Marshall County. Schools determine how the donated funds are used.
The program has grown into a significant source of community support — in 2025, FNB donated more than $87,000 to participating schools combined.
Those interested in signing up for a Spirit Debit Card can visit any FNB branch location or go to GrowWithFNB.com.
FNB Bank was founded in 1875 and is among Kentucky’s oldest financial institutions, with assets exceeding $740 million.
