(DRAFFENVILLE, Ky.) — Marshall County Athletics has announced the hiring of Devin Belt as the new head coach of the boys golf program, bringing with him a wealth of experience both as a player and a coach.
Belt comes to Marshall County after spending two seasons as a coach at Crittenden County, where he developed a firsthand understanding of what it takes to build a competitive program. His roots in the sport run deep — as a student-athlete at Crittenden County, he was a member of two All-A Championship teams.
Beyond the golf course, Belt is no stranger to Marshall County athletics. He currently serves as the school’s baseball coach, making his transition into the golf program a natural extension of his existing role within the department.
Athletic department officials say Belt’s dedication to student-athletes and his competitive drive made him the right choice to lead the program forward.
Belt expressed enthusiasm about stepping into the position.
“I am super excited to take over our golf program at Marshall County,” he said. “This is a proud and good program. I look to continue the success set by the great golfers that come through this program.”
