(CALVERT CITY, Ky.) — An Indiana man was taken into custody Friday after he reported his own active warrant to Marshall County authorities, leading officers directly to him.
Cody James Matthews, 44, of Columbus, Ind., contacted Marshall County Central Dispatch on April 25 to report that he had an outstanding warrant. Dispatchers confirmed the warrant, and officers located Matthews near the Dollar General store on South Main Street, where he was arrested without further incident.
Matthews was booked on a warrant out of Simpson County for failure to appear.
No additional details about the underlying Simpson County case were immediately available.
