(OLIVE, Ky.) (Apr. 28, 2026) – KY 1897/Olive Hamlet Road in Marshall County, between Dogtown Road and Abraham Road (or mile points 1.1 to 2.3), has reopened ahead of schedule.
The work is now complete, and no closure is needed at this location on Wednesday, April 29.

(OLIVE, Ky.) (Apr. 24, 2026) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans to close a section of KY 1897/Olive Hamlet Road in Marshall County each day Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, Apr. 27-29, for a pipe replacement project.
This is along KY 1897 between Dogtown Road and Abraham Road, or mile points 1.1 to 2.3.
Weather permitting, the work is scheduled between 8 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. daily. The roadway will reopen to traffic each afternoon and close again the following morning for continued work.
Motorists are asked to self-detour.
