Boyce Edward Hart, Sr., 74, of Calvert City, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2026, at Baptist Health Deaconess Madisonville.

Boyce was born in St. Joseph, Michigan, on October 7, 1951, to the late Paul Edward Hart and Zanda Coke Hart. Boyce was a hardworking man who spent many years as an auto mechanic and welder in both Michigan and Arkansas, and a few years as a taxicab driver in Jonesboro, Arkansas, before moving to Kentucky.

Known for being very down to earth, Boyce enjoyed keeping life simple. As a man of faith, he was a member of Zion’s Cause Baptist Church, where he and his wife, Jane, formed many close friendships with members of the congregation and their Sunday School class. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting for and collecting a variety of little figurines of frogs, chickens, and angels.

Additionally, Boyce had a passion for riding motorcycles and often spent his time tinkering and repairing them.

He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Jane Duncan Hart of Calvert City, Kentucky; his two daughters, Jennifer Hart of Florida and Brandy Hart of Blythville, Arkansas; his four sons, Boyce Hart, Jr., of Lake City, Arkansas, Adam Hart of Florida, Michael Hart of Florida, and Justin Hart of Florida; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Virginia Miller; two brothers, Richard Hart and Leland Hart; and his parents, Paul and Zanda Hart.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the American Heart Association, Kentucky Region, 240 Whittington Parkway, Louisville, KY 40222.

The family will be holding a memorial service at a later date.
