(DRAFFENVILLE, Ky.) — Marshall County High School has announced that senior soccer standout Ethan Upton has committed to continue his academic and athletic career at Manchester University in North Manchester, Indiana.
Upton, who has been playing soccer for 12 years, has established himself as one of the Marshals’ most dedicated competitors, earning a reputation for his relentless work ethic and commitment to the game. A key figure in his development has been his father, who pushed him to grow both on and off the field throughout his career.
When asked to reflect on his most memorable high school moment, Upton pointed to a dramatic victory over a previously undefeated Murray High School squad in this past season’s regional semifinal — a win that helped define the Marshals’ postseason run.
His accomplishments over four years speak for themselves. Upton earned two All-District Team selections and a Second Team All-Region honor, while also contributing to teams that claimed one district runner-up finish and two regional runner-up finishes.
Upton will now carry that experience and those accolades to the collegiate level, where he is expected to make an immediate impact for the Spartans.
