(EDDYVILLE, Ky.)-Friday, February 27, 2026, deputies served a Lyon Circuit Court bench warrant, for Failure to Appear, on Anthony D. Simmons (39) of Atlanta, GA. 
Simmons was extradited from Atlanta, Georgia back to Kentucky to face charges in a cocaine, marijuana, and tampering felony case. Simmons was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.
Saturday, February 28, 2026, around 5:15pm, Deputy Bobby Beeler, Deputy Josh Travis, and Lyon County EMS responded to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of KY 93 and KY 293, south of Eddyville. Deputy Beeler’s investigation revealed a 1999 Ford F150, driven by Jeffery L. Carroll (63) of Eddyville was on KY 293 at the KY 93 intersection when he pulled into the path of a 2014 Toyota Sienna, driven by Patricio Gabriel Jara Tapia (50) of Mount Juliet, TN, who was South on KY 93. Both drivers and passengers refused medical attention at the scene.
