(CALVERT CITY, Ky.) — A special tribute honoring local military veterans will be on display at Memorial Park as the Calvert Area Development Association (CADA) recognizes service members who have defended the nation.
The Military Tribute Signs, featuring the names and military branches of local heroes, will be displayed at the Calvert City Fountain at Memorial Park from November 11 through November 16 in observance of Veterans Day.
The display invites community members to walk through the fountain area and view the signs commemorating individuals who have served in the armed forces. Each sign represents a local service member’s commitment to protecting the country’s freedoms.
“This display is a special way for our community to pause and reflect on the service and sacrifice of those who protect our country,” said Brittany Story, CADA president. “CADA is proud to recognize these brave individuals and their families who have given so much in service to our nation.”
The weeklong display provides an opportunity for residents, families, and visitors to pay their respects to veterans, both living and deceased.
Calvert City Hall will be closed November 11th in observance of Veterans Day, but Memorial Park remains open to the public seven days a week.
