
LYON COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE MEDIA RELEASE
- On Wednesday, July 3, 2024, around 5:43pm, Deputy David Carroll was dispatched to a two-vehicle collision at the I-24 off-ramp in Kuttawa. His investigation revealed a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Beau H. Breedlove (21) of Benton was stopped in traffic behind a 2024 Ram pickup truck, driven by Henry E. Little (52) of Dyersburg, TN. Breedlove failed to see the Little vehicle stop in front of him as traffic began moving, and collided in a rear-end manner. No injuries were reported in the collision.
- On Thursday, July 11, 2024, around 1:50pm, Deputy Michelle Kent was dispatched to the Kuttawa Cemetery for a complaint of juveniles driving a golf cart in the grass cemetery. Just prior to her arrival, two 12-year-old juveniles who were on the golf cart, had an accident which resulted in the golf cart overturning. No injuries were reported in the incident. As a result of the investigation, Jolynne E. Maloney (49) of Henderson was charged with a Kuttawa City Ordinance violation, Permitting Unlicensed Operator to Operate, Failure to Maintain Required Insurance-1st Offense, and Improper Equipment. Maloney was cited to Lyon District Court.
- On Thursday, July 11, 2024, around 3pm, Chief Deputy Sam Adams was dispatched to a single vehicle injury collision on KY 1055 near Ralph Beatty Road. His investigation revealed a 2008 Chevrolet Uplander driven by Gloria Stubblefield (33) of Paducah, was Northwest on KY 1055 when a deer entered the roadway. Stubblefield was unable to avoid a collision with the animal. The deer proceeded through Stubblefield’s windshield and died in the passenger’s side floorboard area. One of Stubblefield’s four juvenile passengers was injured as a result of the glass breakage and impact with the deer. The injured passenger was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Chief Deputy Adams was assisted at the scene by Eddyville Fire Department, Kentucky State Police, and Lyon County EMS.
- On Thursday, July 11, 2024, around 8pm, Deputy Michelle Kent was dispatched to the Eureka Campground off KY 1271 for a theft complaint. The victim had parked his boat at the campground and an unidentified person(s) stole a large container which had $100.00 in fuel in it which had recently been purchased. If anyone has information about this theft, you are asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 270.388.2311.
- On Friday, July 12, 2024, around 9:27am, Deputy Lori Francis charged Robert Kelly (37) of Elizabethtown on a Marion Circuit Court indictment warrant charging him with Promoting Contraband-1st Degree and Persistent Felony Offender-I. He will remain incarcerated in the Western Kentucky Correctional Complex until completion of his unrelated state prison sentence.
- On Saturday, July 13, 2024, around 4:30am, Sheriff Brent White arrested and charged De’Andre I. Bolton (21) of Miami, FL with a Lyon Circuit Court bench warrant for Failure to Appear. Bolton was extradited from Florida back to Kentucky pursuant to this charge. He was originally indicted by the Grand Jury for Speeding, Reckless Driving, Wanton Endangerment-1st Degree (2 counts), Receiving Stolen Property-$10,000 or more, Fleeing/Evading Police-1st Degree, and Possession of Marijuana. Bolton was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.
