LYON COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE MEDIA RELEASE

  • On Monday, March 4, 2024, around 1:10pm, Sheriff Brent White received a report of an elderly female’s stolen credit card from Crittenden County being used in multiple fraudulent transactions which occurred at various Lyon County businesses beginning in January and continuing into March.

 

The investigation led to a 13-year-old male juvenile being located at a Kuttawa business around 5:55pm the same day when he tried to use the stolen credit card again to purchase merchandise. He was detained and the stolen credit card was found in the juvenile’s hand at the time Sheriff White made contact with him in the parking lot. The 13-year-old Eddyville juvenile was charged with a felony count of Complicity to Commit Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card Over $1,000 but under $10,000.

 

  • On Tuesday, March 5, 2024, around 10am, Sheriff Brent White charged a 14-year-old male juvenile from Kuttawa with Complicity to Commit Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card Over $1,000 but under $10,000 in the same investigation. The two juveniles are accused of making over $2,300 in unauthorized transactions with the victim’s stolen credit card.

 

  • On Tuesday, March 5, 2024, around 9pm, Deputy David Carroll located and charged the following persons on Hayden Drive in Eddyville:

 

    • Michael D. Reynolds (37) of Eddyville charged with Theft by Deception-Cold Checks-Under $500. He was issued a criminal summons to appear in Lyon District Court to answer to charges involving three cold checks issued in October 2023 to a Lyon County business.

 

    • Michelle M. Reynolds (38) of Eddyville charged with Theft by Deception-Cold Checks-Under $500. She was issued a criminal summons to appear in Lyon District Court to answer to charges involving three cold checks issued in October 2023 to a Lyon County business.

 

In addition, Michelle Reynolds was also charged with Theft by Deception-Cold Checks-$500 to <$1000. She was issued a criminal summons in this case as well to answer to a charge involving a cold check over $500 to another Lyon County citizen.

  • On Wednesday, March 6, 2024, around 7:45pm, Deputy David Carroll located Brian K. Odom (31) of Eddyville on Fairview Avenue. Odom was arrested on a Crittenden District Court bench warrant for failure to appear in a child support case in that county.

 

  • On Saturday, March 9, 2024, around 6:30am, Chief Deputy Sam Adams received a report of a single-vehicle collision on US 62 East. The investigation revealed a 2018 Chevrolet Malibu operated by Michelle L. Maroney (26) of Princeton was West bound on US 62 East when her vehicle collided with a deer. There were no injuries reported.
