Lady Marshals beat Paducah Tilghman 62-29

Friday at Otis Dining Gymnasium, Marshall County defeated Paducah Tilghman 62-29 to improve to 14-5. The win was the Lady Marshals 13th straight over the Blue Tornado dating back to the 2016 season.

Nine different players scored for the Lady Marshals led by Eden Sandlin with 14 and Skylar Waller with 13. Waller hit three of the six three pointers in the game and Sandlin hit two while also going 4-of-5 at the free throw line. Alex Harris led Paducah Tilghman scoring with 12 points.

A 9-0 start for the Lady Marshals led to a 17-6 lead at the end of the first quarter. Kenzlee Terry had seven points to lead the early scoring.

Waller scored the first five points of the second quarter followed by free throws from Izzy Washburn and Chevelle Henson that fueled an 8-0 run. Addi Wall scored the final three points of the half on a free throw and field goal to put the Lady Marshals up 33-17 at halftime.

They outscored Paducah Tilghman 29-12 in the second half, getting a big fourth quarter effort from Sandlin who scored 13.

The Lady Marshals will play Allen County-Scottsville on Saturday at Reed Conder Gymnasium at 2:30.
