Rupayne K. Osborne, age 94, passed away on Friday, December 1, 2023 at Mercy Health Lourdes.
Rupayne was born in Lynnville, Kentucky on December 22, 1928 to Theron and Mary Jane Lawrence Kendall. She was a receptionist for Dr. Grogan and Dr. Howard for several years until her retirement. Rupayne also worked for The Surgical Group of Paducah. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Daughters of the American Revolution and an associate member of the Perennial Garden Club. When she was able, Rupayne enjoyed cooking and sewing. Rupayne was a firm believer that “Joy is the best makeup, but a little lipstick is a close runner-up.”
Rupayne is survived by one son, Mark Watkins (Angie) of Paducah, one daughter, Caryn Watkins of Paducah, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Paul Osborne; two sons, Michael Watkins, David Watkins; two brothers, James Kendall, Henry Kendall and the father of her children, Carl Watkins.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 4, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home. Burial will be private.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 4, 2023 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home from 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
