The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office arrested a McCracken County couple Friday night following the execution of a search warrant.

Over the past several months drug detectives have been investigating information alleging that 48-year-old James “Jay” White was selling large quantities of Methamphetamine in Western, KY. On 09/08/2023 that investigation led to detectives to obtain search warrant for White’s residence located at 3725 Husband’s Road in McCracken County where White was living in a camper. The search warrant was executed just after 9pm.

Because White had an extensive criminal history detectives used the Sheriff’s Office’s Special Response Team to execute the warrant and take White into custody.  White was located inside the camper with 27-year-old Tiffany Houser. White, a convicted Felon, was seated inside the camper with a loaded 45 caliber handgun. White was taken into custody without incident.

During a search of White detectives located approximately 60 grams of Crystal Methamphetamine inside his pants pockets with additional ammunition. During the search of the property detectives located additional Methamphetamine, Marijuana, and assorted drug paraphernalia.

White has an extensive criminal history. In 2006 White was charged with shooting and killing his then pregnant wife in Ozark, Missouri.  White has prior convictions for possessing a firearm by a convicted felon, trafficking in Cocaine, and other offenses. White was out on bond at the time of this new arrest for a prior arrest in Graves County, KY in 2022 where he was charged with trafficking in Methamphetamine.

Both White and Houser were lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail.
