The Marshall County Public Library is gearing up to host its first ever Bluey Bash during the week of Spring Break, which will not only be the library’s first Bluey program but the county’s first as well.
With Bluey coming to the Carson Center in Paducah at the end of May, the library’s goal is to highlight the Australian animated TV series, which follows the adventures of a six-year-old Blue Heeler puppy.
“People of all ages cannot seem to get enough of Bluey,” said Benton Children’s Librarian Sara Dittman. “After watching a few episodes myself, I completely understand. The show depicts many scenarios to which most families can relate. We are excited to bring this fun, free program to our community.”
Bluey Bash will be held at the Benton branch of the Marshall County Public Library on April 5 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and will include some of the show’s popular games and activities like Keepy Uppy, Pass the Parcel, and even a Dance Pawty. There will also be craft stations, sensory play, snacks, and photo ops.
“After realizing how many Bluey fans we had on staff, we decided this could be fun and we could put together a really great fun and free program during the week of Spring Break,” said Benton Branch Manager Lenisa Jones. “We hope lots of families come out and join in on the fun with us.”
