Joining us recently on WCBL’s Coffee Call program was Marshall County Emergency Management Director Curt Curtner. Curtner officially begian his position on January 1 of this year. He says following the December 2021 tornado, there is more emphasis on putting together a database that will pinpoint the exact location of all personal storm shelters in Marshall County. The reason for the database is to make sure personal storm shelters are checked after a disaster has struck. Curtner says it is possible a shelter could have debris blown over on top of the entrance. The program is voluntary. To register your shelter please email or call the Marshall County Emergency Management Office at curt.curtner@marshallcountyky.govdarlene.lynn@marshallcountyky.gov or 270-527-4739.
