-On 1/17/23 at around 6:16 PM, Officers were dispatched to Global Wine & Spirits, in reference to an intoxicated driver, in the drive thru. The caller advised the driver appeared to be under the influence and he had struck the building with his vehicle. As a result of the investigation, driver of the vehicle, Randal Cutsinger, was placed under arrest. Randal L. Cutsinger, 65, of Benton, was charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle While Under the Influence of Alcohol 2nd Offense (Aggravated Circumstances), and Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree. The Benton Police Department was assisted by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office.
-On 01/16/23 at around 6:42 PM, Officers were dispatched to Walmart, for a complaint of a female subject who was screaming and possibly under the influence. As officers arrived, they found the subject who was identified as Autumn Bland. It was discovered that Bland had attempted to steal items, while inside the store. Autumn E. Bland, 19, of Murray, was arrested and charged with TBUT or Disp Shoplifting < $500, Disorderly Conduct 2nd Deg, Poss. of Methamphetamine and Drug Paraphernalia. The Benton Police Department was assisted by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office.
-On 01/14/23 at around 11:15 PM, a traffic stop was conducted with a vehicle that was speeding on I-69. As a result of the roadside investigation, driver of the vehicle, Cody Renard, was placed under arrest. Cody E. Renard, 31, of Calvert City, was charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle While Under the Influence of Alcohol 2nd Offense (Aggravated Circumstance), Driving DUI Suspended, and Speeding 15 MPH Over Limit.

– On 01/08/23 at around 06:54 PM, a vehicle was observed traveling East bound on E 12th Street, with no tail lights on. A traffic stop was initiated, but the vehicle continued for about 2 miles, before pulling over. Once pulled over, Officers located opened alcohol containers, inside the vehicle. After a roadside investigation, it was determined that the driver of the vehicle, was under the influence of alcohol. Roldan R. Ambrocio, 30, of Almo, was charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle While Under the Influence of Alcohol, Poss. of Open Alcohol Container in a Motor Vehicle, and No Tail Lamps.
– On 01/07/23 at around 1:59 AM, officers were dispatched to the parking lot area of Benton Inn, for a collision. The driver involved, William Foster, was attempting to back up and struck a parked vehicle. Foster had slurred speech and was unsteady. An investigation determined that Foster was under the influence of alcohol. William R. Foster, 58, of Benton, was placed under arrest and charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle While Under the Influence of Alcohol, Operating on a Suspended License, Failure of Owner to Maintain Insurance, and No Registration Plates.
– On 01/05/23 at around 9:45 PM, a traffic stop was made on Main Street, due to an expired registration plate. As officers spoke with the driver, William Foster, they noticed the odor of an alcoholic beverage, coming from him. After a roadside investigation, Foster was placed under arrest. William R. Foster, 58, of Benton, was charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle While Under the Influence of Alcohol, Operating on a Suspended License, No Registration Plates, and No Registration Receipt.
