Lady Marshals beat West Carroll, Tenn. in Holiday Hoopla

The Lady Marshals picked up their second win of the early season on Saturday over West Carroll, Tenn. 44-38.

Out to a great start, the Lady Marshals led 20-10 after one quarter led by Chevelle Henson’s six points. Henson went on to lead the team in scoring with 16.

The big start was enough to keep them on top after scoring dropped off in the other three quarters. They led 30-19 at halftime but West Carroll cut the lead down to five at 37-32 after three quarters. The Lady Marshals outscored them by one in the final frame to win by six.

Henson 16 points earned Player of the Game honors at the Holiday Hoopla held at McCracken County. Madyson Morton followed Henson with 12 points and Georgia Hall had six plus a big game on the boards with 16 rebounds.

The Lady Marshals will play Murray at home on Tuesday in their first district game of the season.
