Benton Fugitive Arrested and Charged With Trafficking in Methamphetamine

The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Benton fugitive on
Tuesday afternoon for trafficking in Methamphetamine following a
traffic stop.

On 10/11/2022 drug detectives observed 35 year old Chad Taylor
operating a motor vehicle in McCracken County and knew that he was
wanted on an outstanding felony probation violation warrant and did
not have a driver’s license. Taylor had been wanted for the past
approximate two years. Deputies and detectives stopped and arrested
Taylor on Park Road in McCracken County at approximately 345pm.

During the roadside investigation detectives searched Taylor and the
vehicle. Detectives located and seized approximately 15 grams of
Crystal Methamphetamine, a digital scale, smoking pipes and $2,075
believed to be proceeds of illegal drug sales.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Marshall County Sheriff’s
Office during this investigation. A Marshall County detective obtained
a search warrant for Taylor’s residence on US Highway 68 West in
Marshall County. During a search of Taylor’s residence detectives
located other illegal drugs and paraphernalia.

Taylor was lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail. The
investigation is continuing.

Arrested: Chad D. Taylor 35, of US Highway 68 West Benton, KY

Charges: Operating on suspended license, failure to notify an address
change to the department of transportation, trafficking in
Methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and a probation
violation warrant.
