Eating plenty of fruits and vegetables each day is one of the keys to proper nutrition, that according to Paul Rudd, Nutrition Services Manager with the Marshall County Health Department. He, along with Murray State interns Haven Pitts of Mayfield and Kara Cornell of Clarksville, Tennessee joined us on WCBL’s Coffee Call program. Pitts said most of us don’t eat enough fruits and vegetables and you can get good nutrition from them whether fresh, canned or frozen. Cornell said a good way to incorporated more fruits and vegetables in your diet is to go online to www.allrecipes.com and type in the vegetable you want to use in a meal and it will give you some ideas.
