Saturday and Sunday in Lexington, the Lady Marshals and Marshals golf teams competed in the KGCA All-State Championship held at the Big Blue and Cherry Blossum courses.
As a team, the Lady Marshals finished third at +48 (318-306/624), four strokes back of second place Lexington Christian Academy at +44 (313-307/620) and the team from Madison Central took the win at +42 (313-305/618).
Trinity Beth repeated as medalist, taking the win with 6-under par for the two-day tournament. Beth shot rounds of 70 and 68 (138) to win by four strokes over Lyon County’s Cathryn Brown. Katie Roberts placed ninth at 2-over par (74-72/146), CeCelia Ray tied for 48th at +22 (88-78/166), Skylar Waller tied at 59th place with +30 (86-88/174) and Elsie Riley was 81st at +48 (102-88/190).
The Marshals took ninth as a team, finishing up at +38 (300-314/614). The team from Taylor County scorched the field at 15-under par (273-288/561) to win by 30 strokes over second place Madison Central.
Taylor County players took first, second and tied for third overall with medalist honors going to Bruno Galling who shot 11-under (67-66/133). Trey Wall finished tied for fifth at 2-under shooting rounds of 71 each day (142). Ryan Stokes tied for 55th at +12 (75-81/156), Logan Davis tied for 69th at +17 (80-81/161), David Jack Morris also finished tied at 69th with +17 (76-85/161) and Gunner Hoover tied at 78th with +22 (87-79/166).
