On 01/29/22, Officer J. Darnell made a traffic stop with a Pontiac Grand Prix, on West 5th Street. Officer Darnell made a traffic stop with the vehicle, for the vehicle having an expired registration plate. While speaking with the driver, Officer Darnell could smell marijuana. As a result of a roadside investigation, driver of the vehicle, Jason Callihan, was placed under arrest. Jason E. Callihan, 44, of Symsonia, was charged with the following:
-Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree/ 1st Offense (Methamphetamine)
– Possession of Marijuana
– Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
– No Registration Plates
– No Registration Receipt
– Failure to Produce Insurance Card
– Failure of Owner to Maintain Required Insurance 1st Offense
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
