If your home or business suffered damage during the recent tornado, help to rebuild and repair is available. A Disaster Recovery Center is now open in Benton. FEMA and the Small Business Administration (SBA) is available at the Joe Creason Community Center at the Benton City Park Monday through Saturday from 8 to 6. Sunday from noon ’til 6. Laurie Dana with SBA and LaTanga Hopes with FEMA joined us on WCBL’s Coffee Call program. Dana says to apply with FEMA, even though you might not take the loan. She says it is just part of the process to get help. Non-profits are also eligible for assistance. For SBA assistance, call 1-800-659-2955 or go to disasterloanassistance.sba.gov. Loan application deadline is February 10th, 2022. For FEMA assistance call 800-621-3362 or online at disasterassistance.gov. Or you can stop by the Joe Creason Center in Benton.
