Calloway County Deputies Arrest Five, Including Fugitives, Over Weekend

The Calloway County Sheriff’s Office arrested five people over the weekend in multiple investigations.

On Saturday, September 11, 2021 at approximately 8:00 p.m. Deputies J. Hayden, N. Dues, J. Hamm, and S. Oakley served a search warrant at 716 Sycamore Street in the city of Murray. During the search, Deputies located various items of drug paraphernalia as well as methamphetamine and marijuana. Phillip W. Nelson, age 40, of Murray, Kentucky was arrested and charged with 1st Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine), Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was lodged in the Calloway County Jail.

On Sunday, September 12, 2021 at approximately 2:30 p.m., Deputies J. Hill J. Hayden, and S. Oakley, went to a residence on Saddlebrook Lane in effort to locate two fugitives. Upon their arrival, Deputies located Stephanie Wecker and Bradley Whyte, both known to be fugitives with multiple warrants. Also located were various items of drug paraphernalia as well as methamphetamine and marijuana. Bradley C. Whyte, age 47, of Benton, Kentucky was arrested and charged with 1st Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine), Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was also served a Parole Violation warrant, a warrant for Failure to Appear on a Livingston County District Court case, and a warrant for Failure to Appear on a Caldwell County District Court case. Stephanie G. Wecker, age 45, of Hardin, Kentucky was arrested and charged with 1st Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine). She was also served with a warrant for Failure to Appear in a Calloway County court case, a warrant for Failure to Appear in a Marshall County court case, a warrant for Failure to Appear in a McCracken County court case, a warrant for Failure to Appear in a Graves County court case, a two warrants of arrest charging her with a two counts of 2nd Degree Forgery and two counts of Theft by Deception in Marshall County. Both were lodged in the Calloway County Jail.

On Sunday, September 12, 2021 at approximately 11:00 p.m. Deputy J. Hayden stopped a vehicle on 12th Street in the city of Murray for a traffic violation. During the roadside investigation, various items of drug paraphernalia, methamphetamine, and Suboxone were located. The driver, Jeffrey C. Cooper, age 54, of Murray, Kentucky was arrested and charged with Operating on a Suspended License, Possession of an Open Alcohol Container, 1st Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. A passenger, Emily K. Odom, age 43, of Murray, Kentucky was arrested and charged with 1st Degree of a Controlled Substance (Opiate)
and Prescription Controlled Substance Not in Proper Container. Both were lodged in the Calloway County Jail.
