Senator Danny Carroll announces intention to seek re-election to the Kentucky State Senate

Benton, KY – On July 13, 2021, Senator Danny Carroll announced his candidacy for re-election to the Kentucky State Senate’s 2nd district. The 2nd district includes Ballard, Carlisle, Marshall & McCracken Counties.

“Since I came to the Senate in 2015, I’ve made it my mission to serve the people of my district, and the entire Commonwealth, with honor, integrity and passion,” said Sen. Carroll. “I’ve fought to protect the most vulnerable populations (including the un-born), create a fiscally responsible and stable state government, build a brighter future through education and economic opportunities and help as many individual constituents as possible.” Since Republicans have been given majorities in the House and Senate, our state has been on an upward trajectory. We must continue these efforts as we recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.”

Sen. Carroll graduated from Murray State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and served for 24 years in the Paducah Police Department retiring as Assistant Chief of Police in 2010. Upon retirement, Sen. Carroll was named President and CEO of Easterseals West Kentucky, a position he holds today.

“I have spent my life serving others, whether that be as an officer with the Paducah Police Department, the Executive Director of Easterseals West Kentucky or as the State Senator for the 2nd district,” remarked Sen. Carroll. “There is much work to be done to move our great Commonwealth forward and improve the quality of life for all of our people. It is absolutely the honor of a lifetime to be your voice in the Kentucky State Senate. I look forward to earning your vote and support in the year ahead, as I have done the past seven years.”
