Tammy Lynn Matteson, Johnathan Ellis and Russ Claborne from CFSB joined us recently on WCBL’s Coffee Call program. The topic of the program was the many ways criminals are trying to steal your money and/or your identity. Always know who you are speaking to and never give out personal information unless you do. Claborne says there are many fraudulent websites that claim to be legitimate pay day loan companies or a legitimate employer. Often times a counterfeit check will be sent to you for more than what were promised and they ask you to send back the difference. The CFSB representatives say if something sounds to good to be true, then it’s probably not. After a long service at CFSB, Russ Claborne will be retiring on June 30th.
