Mr. Delbert Lee Hicks, 64 of Benton, KY passed away Friday, February 19, 2021, at his home.
Born Saturday, September 8, 1956 in Peoria, IL, he was the son of the late Loyd Hicks and the late Ina Jean (Myers) Hicks. He retired after 43 years of service with McJunkin Corporation of Calvert City, KY. He was a member of the Marshall County Elks lodge 2707. He was commissioned as a Kentucky Colonel in 2020.
He is survived by his girlfriend, Lori Mills of Benton, KY; aunt, Peggy Hicks of Murray, KY; close friends and life brothers, Kevin Spraggs, wife Kandi of Benton, KY and Tracy Stevens, wife Vanessa of Gilbertsville, KY and several cousins and many life long friends.
A service celebrating Delbert’s life will be held Sunday, February 21, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home, Benton, KY. Rev. Dr. Charles Frazier will officiate the service. Special music will be provided by Kalib Swift and Michael Casteel.
Interment will follow in the Marshall Co. Memory Gardens, Benton, KY.
Friends may visit between the hours of 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 21, 2021, at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, KY.
