Mrs. Shirley Sue (Cornwell) Henson, 84 of Benton, KY passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2021, at Marshall Co. Hospital in Benton, KY.
Born Tuesday, December 22, 1936, in Hardin, KY, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Marion Cornwell and the late Sudie Avanell (Hurt) Cornwell. She was cashier for Austin Grocery, a co-owner of Henson Service Station from 1976 until her retirement in 2000, she was also a retired bus driver for the Marshall County Board of Education. She was a member of the Union Hill Church of Christ, Hardin, KY.
Surviving are son, Jackie Henson, wife Kathy of Benton, KY, daughters, Sherry Young, husband Gary of Benton, KY and Shanna Miller of Benton, KY, brother, Pat Cornwell, wife Becky of Benton, KY; grandchildren, Tiffany Phillips, Bobby Henson, Randy Henson, Angela Gibbs, Jesse Henson, Jacob Henson, Tammie Jones, Michelle Owens, Todd Culp, Amber Culp, Seth Culp; great-grandchildren, Alex Phillips, Chris Phillips, Riley Henson, Josie Henson, Kash Henson, Trip Henson, Gabby Gibbs, Lexie Owens, Brooklyn Owens, Kaylee James, Laken James, William Henson, Hailee Henson, Maddie Culp, Masen Smith, Daisy Keysor, Sophie Henson and Dalton Henson.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Hardy Leamon Henson, daughter, Kendra Culp, sister, Marion Nell Smith, grandson, Shannon Leach, sons-in-law, Dennis Miller, Jimmy Leach and Phillip Culp.
Graveside services will be Friday at 12:00 noon in the Union Hill Cemetery, Hardin, KY with the Josh Herndon and David Smith officiating.
No public visitation is scheduled.
Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th St., Benton, KY has been entrusted with Mrs. Henson’s arrangements.
