Raymond E. Johnson, Jr. age, 71, of Mayfield and formerly of Paducah, KY passed away at 7:34 p.m. Sunday, December 13, 2020 at the Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield. Raymond was a member of the Lone Oak First Baptist Church and a native of Pontiac, MI. Raymond was a veteran of U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force having spent a total of 32 years. Raymond spent the last ten years as maintenance supervisor of buildings for the state of TN. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a Titan Football fan.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Willa Waldridge Johnson; two daughters, Alcestra Bryte Johnson Brunell (Bill) of Phoenix, AZ, Alexandra Hope Johnson, Mayfield, KY; two sons, William E. Johnson (Jennifer) of Lebanon, TN and Raymond “John L” Johnson of Gallatin. TN; five sisters, Mary Louise Bible, Clinton, TN, Elizabeth “Libby” McDowell, FL, Twins Sisters; Pamela Kay Abernathy, Oak Ridge, TN, Patricia Gail Rose, Knoxville, TN, and Anna Rene’ Manley, Eugene, OR; five grandchildren, Beth Bental, Serenity Faith Brunell, Merianne Brunell, Joshua Brunell and Kyler Lee Johnson; several nieces and nephews .
Preceding in death were his parents, Raymond Edward Johnson Sr. and Sara Louise Cabaniss Johnson.
Services will be held at 12:00 Noon Thursday, December 17, 2020 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Revs. Bob Martin and Norman Wallace officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 17, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
